Our Mission

The mission of Lutheran Service Corps is to expand peace with justice in greater Omaha by developing and intentional community of volunteers.

What We Do

Lutheran Service Corps is a service year program. Volunteers are placed at local nonprofit organizations to help them with their missions. Volunteers participate in a program that encompasses community living, simple living, social justice, and spiritual exploration in a non-denominational setting.

Why should I do a year of service?

A service year is a great opportunity to examine yourself, expand your horizons with practical work experience, live in community, learn about simple and sustainable living, and explore your spirituality in whatever form that shows up for you. It is a way to help you discover who you are and who you are becoming to prepare you for your next life experiences.
